Any couple from Minnesota who plans a wedding on the beach in Southern California is risking a lot. What will the weather be like? Will our friends and family really all buy plane tickets to fly across the country for this? How will we plan the logistics? Where can we find an officiant? A florist? A photographer? But Lauren and Bjorn didn't let the fear of the unknown stop them. They decided to go for it. This incredible couple wanted to say their vows and celebrate their commitment to one another in a location where they had vacationed and made lots of memories—Malibu, California.
And you know what happened?
It was perfect.
The weather was beautiful. The friends and family DID fly across the country to celebrate. They figured out all the details (and Gladstones helped!) And I'm beyond grateful for the wise and all-knowing Google for leading Lauren to find me online.
Lauren and Bjorn's wedding was special due in large part to their ability to let go of the details and just immerse themselves in the moments of the day. As the photographer, I was able to witness countless moments of friendship, affection & genuine love between Lauren, Bjorn, their boys & their families.
And after spending an evening partying with a bunch of Minnesotans, I'm convinced that whole state is full of genuine smiles and warm hearts.
